Me and the Minecraft by Seyawash Qhasimy

Me and the Minecraft by Seyawash Qhasimy

Through Minecraft I have built the imaginary world in which I am in full control. First, I built my personalized decorative home where my sisters, my mom and me live in very comfortably.

I (Seyawash) have created a huge backyard, plenty of tall trees, a soccer field where my friends and I can play; I also have a playing area for my sisters and finally small space where my dog lily can jump around. Creating my imaginary world was not an easy task and it was extremely time consuming.

Right after school my friends and I would go on the computer for hours to build this space, it literally like an entire city but only 4 people living in it. Majority of the city was built with the newest mod “Biomes” and recently I have dedicated a section of the city for a zoo out of Bamboo trees, it feels very private and wildish. The Morph mod would allow me to put some animals in the zoo and modify them according to their habitat.  Slowly the plan is to create a full functional city with hospitals, police station, legal lower courts/ supreme courts and some amusement places.

Eventually I would name my city Seyawash Qhasimy because I want people to know me by my city, a city with full of life. I am estimating 3 full calendar years to complete this plan. Gaming is not a time wasting but a way to stay connected with your close friends.

I know my mom would not agree with that statement but I have to say I absolutely enjoy playing games with my friends. It gives an opportunity to transform my thoughts into something visual.

In minecraft I am virtually free to create anything I please. I have been so tide up with gaming that I haven’t had a time to create profile. However I am planning to create an awesome page along with my friends to showcase my gaming skills. The best part of my day is when I get to play my favorite games, like counter-strike zero, minecraft, hallo or assassin creed. I have almost every game system one can imagine.

Playstation 1 , Xbox 360 and latest computer for  more sophisticated games. Eventually I want to create my own games and write up new codes every month to make massive amount of money.  And that is how I want to become famous on youtube and other social media platforms.

The difference between seeing and writing by Seyawash Qhasimy

The difference between seeing and writing by Seyawash Qhasimy

Writing and interpreting situation is one of my greatest strengths that I have come to know when I was in junior high.

When I am writing about something, I ask myself questions like, what is it that you see Seyawash, and what does seeing to do anything with writing.

When I was in 10 grades my English teacher would always call me “ Seyawash , you always tend to gaze at things for period of times, what is it that you are trying to do. She must of thought I am some sort of wacko. I replied, I don’t know Mrs. J , but I feel like I can write for hours about your coffee mug on your table. She laughed, is that because of the coffee stain!? I replied that too, I am seeing many other functions beyond its normal use.

Ever since I started to implement techniques to help me interpreting images, situations, peoples, good and bad news and write about them. Instead of looking for the sake of looking, I try to carefully put weight, deeper thoughts and open perceptions of what I am looking at. At first it might feel exhausting and time consuming, but believe me you will feel a much better observer and a writer once you have practiced enough these simple techniques. It should provide you with opportunities to sharpen your perception when looking at things and develop your abilities to write with clarity and insight.

Its my opinion that anyone who wants to become a better writer or see things beyond simple lens, they should cross train in seeing and writing. Think of it this way, 9 out of ten successful directors, photographers, artists employ simple techniques to capture and direct the audience`s attention.

Techniques such, making observations, drawing inferences, asking simple questions like how would I feel if I was reading this peace of literature or looking at the image, who is it for and how should I earn their trust with my work. When writing something, look around you, I mean the visual technique, what do you see, what message does it convey, everything has a meaning its just you need to see it and interpret it to your cause.  This is how good writers build on their writing skills.

" I miss my father, he was a great person, I remember when he was passing away, he looked at me and said, take care of your sisters. I have his blessings, I am going to be there for my sisters.
