Seyawash Qhasimy - Toronto Raptors Making History!!!!

Written by Qhasimy Seyawash:
Toronto Raptors making history for the first time in their franchise run and now just 10 months after the training camp they are set to play for the championship and compete for the Larry O`Brien Trophy, incredible season! My name is Seyawash Qhasimy, and I have been living in Ontario for the past decade and this is the very first time Raptors making the championship run. Upon acquiring new head coach Nick Nurse the whole city and we as fans were excited to see what would happen to our struggling Raptors team, certainly a new hope for this organization. After trading some long time players, such as DeMar DeRozan and Jakob Poeltl for younger and more prospect players Leonard and Danny Green and Trading Jonas Valamciunas for Gasol, the Torono Raptors inevitably wanting to give a good push for the championship this time. Being in the game was just not good enough for the owners, players, city and the fans.
Now that they are in for the championship, the pressure is building up by the minute for the newly acquired head coach and the players. It wasn’t an easy run for them, it’s wasn’t certainly given to them, they had to earn it every step of the way. In game 7 against Philadelphia 76ers, the miraculous series of bounces on the rim after the clock was winding down set them up for an incredible chance to become the champions, But first Toronto would have to run pass Golden state. Warriors is favorite the team, for the fifth consecutive season making the NBA finals and Stephen Curry showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. It’s an impressive run for him and the team, something that hasn’t happened since Boston Celtics in the 60s. Without a doubt Warriors had their challenges, Kevin Durrant going down in game 5 of the conference semifinals against the Rockets with series being tied 2-2, Cousins torn quadriceps and now listed as questionable, everyone thought this going to be breaking point for the franchise, but they managed to overcome those hurdles and yet to become the only team to win consecutive championships.
Golden State has some of the best players in the game. We all know about Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Cousin and many more, but lets not forget, Toronto has players to toughen up the situation on the court for those players. Leonard has been the player on the court during the playoffs and continues to show impressive game on the court.
Game 2 is set for Sunday evening 5pm Eastern Time.

Toronto Maple Leafs - Seyawash Qhasimy

In the last 5 seasons Toronto Maple Leafs continuously shuffled through the rosters to stay competitive in their division.

Eastern conference is packet with powerful teams, namely Montreal Canadians, Boston Bruins, Pittsburg and Washington capitals.  Boston Bruins the closest rivals battling with Blues series tide 2-2 to bring the Stanley cap back to Boston for the second time. This season Leafs had made big moves and maxed out their salary cap to acquire talents to gain a competitive edge over their rivalries, but fell short of their goal at least for this season.
It was a gamble spending millions signing young inexperienced players.
5 players combined makes up 50 percent of the team’s salary cap. Big names like Mike Babcock, Mitch Marner, Matthews and Kadri were suppose to give the team the best chance to win the cup, but did not live up to the expectations.
Can we say Leafs are at rebuilding stage at this point? It’s hard to say after spending millions to sign those young superstars and not even advancing to the third round in playoffs.
This young team has a bright future in my opinion and a very good chance to win a Stanley cap under a very well known head coach Mike Babcock.
The question remains, what is it that Toronto Maple Leafs has to do to advance further towards the Stanley cap? Few major changes I believe they should allow to happen.
1. Leave an opening spots for other talents to come in and try out for the team.
2. Trade some high salary players to make some room in salary cap.
3. Resign free agents to a shorter term as oppose to long term.
4. Acquire a back up goalie to ease some of the stress from number one goalie
5. Establish a zero margin of error policy for the players and Coaches.
6. Allow criticism from the fans, a great way to allow the public be involved.

I truly believe Toronto has a great chance to win the cup with this roaster. Those young players should reflect on this season as the learning curve and put it behind them.
For many years now the fans have been patiently waiting and still believe that this Toronto Maple Leafs team can be the champions one day. Looking forward to the next season. Go Leafs GO!!

Me and the Minecraft by Seyawash Qhasimy

Me and the Minecraft by Seyawash Qhasimy

Through Minecraft I have built the imaginary world in which I am in full control. First, I built my personalized decorative home where my sisters, my mom and me live in very comfortably.

I (Seyawash) have created a huge backyard, plenty of tall trees, a soccer field where my friends and I can play; I also have a playing area for my sisters and finally small space where my dog lily can jump around. Creating my imaginary world was not an easy task and it was extremely time consuming.

Right after school my friends and I would go on the computer for hours to build this space, it literally like an entire city but only 4 people living in it. Majority of the city was built with the newest mod “Biomes” and recently I have dedicated a section of the city for a zoo out of Bamboo trees, it feels very private and wildish. The Morph mod would allow me to put some animals in the zoo and modify them according to their habitat.  Slowly the plan is to create a full functional city with hospitals, police station, legal lower courts/ supreme courts and some amusement places.

Eventually I would name my city Seyawash Qhasimy because I want people to know me by my city, a city with full of life. I am estimating 3 full calendar years to complete this plan. Gaming is not a time wasting but a way to stay connected with your close friends.

I know my mom would not agree with that statement but I have to say I absolutely enjoy playing games with my friends. It gives an opportunity to transform my thoughts into something visual.

In minecraft I am virtually free to create anything I please. I have been so tide up with gaming that I haven’t had a time to create profile. However I am planning to create an awesome page along with my friends to showcase my gaming skills. The best part of my day is when I get to play my favorite games, like counter-strike zero, minecraft, hallo or assassin creed. I have almost every game system one can imagine.

Playstation 1 , Xbox 360 and latest computer for  more sophisticated games. Eventually I want to create my own games and write up new codes every month to make massive amount of money.  And that is how I want to become famous on youtube and other social media platforms.

The difference between seeing and writing by Seyawash Qhasimy

The difference between seeing and writing by Seyawash Qhasimy

Writing and interpreting situation is one of my greatest strengths that I have come to know when I was in junior high.

When I am writing about something, I ask myself questions like, what is it that you see Seyawash, and what does seeing to do anything with writing.

When I was in 10 grades my English teacher would always call me “ Seyawash , you always tend to gaze at things for period of times, what is it that you are trying to do. She must of thought I am some sort of wacko. I replied, I don’t know Mrs. J , but I feel like I can write for hours about your coffee mug on your table. She laughed, is that because of the coffee stain!? I replied that too, I am seeing many other functions beyond its normal use.

Ever since I started to implement techniques to help me interpreting images, situations, peoples, good and bad news and write about them. Instead of looking for the sake of looking, I try to carefully put weight, deeper thoughts and open perceptions of what I am looking at. At first it might feel exhausting and time consuming, but believe me you will feel a much better observer and a writer once you have practiced enough these simple techniques. It should provide you with opportunities to sharpen your perception when looking at things and develop your abilities to write with clarity and insight.

Its my opinion that anyone who wants to become a better writer or see things beyond simple lens, they should cross train in seeing and writing. Think of it this way, 9 out of ten successful directors, photographers, artists employ simple techniques to capture and direct the audience`s attention.

Techniques such, making observations, drawing inferences, asking simple questions like how would I feel if I was reading this peace of literature or looking at the image, who is it for and how should I earn their trust with my work. When writing something, look around you, I mean the visual technique, what do you see, what message does it convey, everything has a meaning its just you need to see it and interpret it to your cause.  This is how good writers build on their writing skills.
