Seyawash Qhasimy - Toronto Raptors Making History!!!!

Written by Qhasimy Seyawash:
Toronto Raptors making history for the first time in their franchise run and now just 10 months after the training camp they are set to play for the championship and compete for the Larry O`Brien Trophy, incredible season! My name is Seyawash Qhasimy, and I have been living in Ontario for the past decade and this is the very first time Raptors making the championship run. Upon acquiring new head coach Nick Nurse the whole city and we as fans were excited to see what would happen to our struggling Raptors team, certainly a new hope for this organization. After trading some long time players, such as DeMar DeRozan and Jakob Poeltl for younger and more prospect players Leonard and Danny Green and Trading Jonas Valamciunas for Gasol, the Torono Raptors inevitably wanting to give a good push for the championship this time. Being in the game was just not good enough for the owners, players, city and the fans.
Now that they are in for the championship, the pressure is building up by the minute for the newly acquired head coach and the players. It wasn’t an easy run for them, it’s wasn’t certainly given to them, they had to earn it every step of the way. In game 7 against Philadelphia 76ers, the miraculous series of bounces on the rim after the clock was winding down set them up for an incredible chance to become the champions, But first Toronto would have to run pass Golden state. Warriors is favorite the team, for the fifth consecutive season making the NBA finals and Stephen Curry showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. It’s an impressive run for him and the team, something that hasn’t happened since Boston Celtics in the 60s. Without a doubt Warriors had their challenges, Kevin Durrant going down in game 5 of the conference semifinals against the Rockets with series being tied 2-2, Cousins torn quadriceps and now listed as questionable, everyone thought this going to be breaking point for the franchise, but they managed to overcome those hurdles and yet to become the only team to win consecutive championships.
Golden State has some of the best players in the game. We all know about Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Cousin and many more, but lets not forget, Toronto has players to toughen up the situation on the court for those players. Leonard has been the player on the court during the playoffs and continues to show impressive game on the court.
Game 2 is set for Sunday evening 5pm Eastern Time.
